**Captive-Bred Ogre-Faced Spider (Net-Casting Spider)**
Captive-bred Ogre-Faced Spiders (Net-Casting Spiders) are an exceptional and rarely available species, perfect for keepers looking for something truly unique. Famous for their enormous forward-facing eyes and incredible hunting technique, these spiders create a small silk net that they hold between their front legs before launching it over unsuspecting prey—a behaviour unlike any other spider.
Their calm nature and fascinating nocturnal habits make them a rewarding species to observe. Watching them hunt after dark is a highlight for any exotic invertebrate enthusiast.
**Why choose captive-bred?**
* Captive-bred and well established
* Healthy, feeding consistently, and acclimated to captivity
* Ethically produced, reducing pressure on wild populations
* Better suited to life in captivity than wild-caught specimens
**Care Information**
* Nocturnal species
* Requires moderate to high humidity
* Provide a well-ventilated enclosure with plenty of vertical twigs and branches for hunting
* Feed appropriately sized live insects such as fruit flies, houseflies, roaches, or small crickets depending on the spider's size
* Display species that is best appreciated through observation rather than handling
These remarkable spiders are a fantastic addition to any serious invertebrate collection and are still rarely offered as captive-bred animals. Each specimen is healthy, feeding well, and carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely.
Please ensure you have researched their care requirements before purchasing.
